Most Phi Phi Island tours from Krabi or Phuket use speedboats. Long-tail boats are not included from shore due to the longer distance and safety reasons.
Once you reach Pileh Lagoon, many tours offer an option to switch to a local long-tail boat — for an extra fee. These small boats can glide deeper into the lagoon, letting you enjoy peaceful emerald waters and limestone cliffs up close.
You’ll usually have two choices:
Private long-tail boat (1–8 people): around 1,500 THB per boat
Shared long-tail boat: around 300 THB per person
