Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata is a popular ski area connected to Kagura Ski Resort, together forming a large interconnected ski zone on Mount Naeba. The resort offers slopes for all levels, from beginners to advanced skiers, and also features night skiing with beautifully lit runs.
It is serviced by the large Naeba Prince Hotel, which has over 1,200 rooms. One of its highlights is the 5.5 km Dragondola (gondola lift), one of the longest in Japan, connecting Naeba and Kagura for an extended skiing experience.

Hakuba Ski Resort (Hakuba Valley) in Nagano is a trending ski destination that combines 10 ski resorts in one area, offering a wide variety of slopes for all levels from beginners to expert skiers. Located in the Hakuba Valley, it provides diverse terrain and excellent snow conditions.
The ski season typically runs from November to April, with some areas extending into early May. Beyond winter, Hakuba also offers a green season with activities like cycling, off-road buggy rides, and large outdoor swings, making it a year-round destination for outdoor adventure.


Opening: Hakuba Ski Resort will open for the first season around November 30th, but not at the same time. Other ski resorts It will gradually open after November 30th, while most closed season days will begin closing at the end of March. However, there are some resorts that are open until early May.
Transportation: From Tokyo, you can take the Asusa train at Shinjuku Station and get off at Hakuba Station directly, which takes about 3 hours and 40 minutes. Direct trains from Shinjuku only come 1 time per day. Or another convenient way is to take a bus from Shinjuku Station to Hakuba, which takes about 4 hours, 6 times per day. For travel in Hakuba, there is a shuttle bus service from Hakuba Station to various ski resorts.
